Boss CE-2w Waza Craft Chorus

Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was not only the world's first chorus effect pedal but also the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, this new and inventive sound was infused into the famous blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have remained part of the compact effects line ever since.

Forty years later, the spacious and modulated tone of this iconic BOSS effect is still beloved by musicians around the world. In 2016, to celebrate BOSS's 40th anniversary of innovation, the original sounds of this analog chorus were reborn with the Waza Craft CE-2W. The Standard mode of the CE-2W faithfully recreates the classic chorus sound of the CE-2 while adding a vast soundscape through stereo output, which was not present in the mono CE-2.

The CE-1 mode fully reproduces the stereo chorus and vibrato sounds of the legendary CE-1, with the addition of an intensity control that was not available on the original pedal. To commemorate the birth of BOSS effects, the CE-2W is entirely built in Japan, just like the original CE-1 and CE-2.

The CE-1 mode offers both chorus and vibrato, realistically recreating the two stereo sound modes of the first chorus pedal in the world. It includes new sounds not available in the original pedals, thanks to the stereo output of the CE-2 and the variable intensity control of the chorus sounds in the CE-1. The Rate and Depth knobs offer precise sound adjustments for both operating modes of the pedal. It features fully analog circuitry selected with a bucket-brigade delay line (BBD). Made in Japan to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BOSS effects, it comes with a five-year BOSS warranty.
