Dunlop EVH 5150 Overdrive

The MXR team has collaborated with Eddie Van Halen to bring you a pedal with super distorted sounds and powerful saturation. The result of this collaboration is the EVH 5150 overdrive, featuring a multi-stage MOSFET circuit with controls that provide tube-like overdrive tones and exceptional flexibility across a wide variety of amplifiers and cabinets.

On stage or in the studio, the controls of the EVH 5150 pedal allow you to achieve a sound spectrum that ranges from Eddie's classic tone in his early days to the highly articulated sound he uses today. With the Output and Gain controls, you can set the volume and distortion level, while the 3-band passive EQ section lets you shape your sound. The Boost switch provides extra gain and increased compression to the EVH 5150, while the Gate control—powered by a Smart Gate circuit—keeps unwanted noise at bay.
