The '59 Bassman features two channels, Normal and Bright; the latter emphasizes high frequencies for a clearer, sharper sound. Both channels have independent volume controls and two separate inputs, the first allowing for a quick move into distortion, while the second (-6 dB) provides a cleaner, more pristine tone. The equalizer is simple yet effective: a three-band setup with Treble, Bass, Middle, and Presence controls, which adds an extra touch of brightness to the final sound. As with any respectable amplifier, the '59 Bassman also includes an On/Off switch and a Standby button for warming up and cooling down the tubes.
