Specifically, these instruments are characterized by the new Yosemite™ Single-Coil pickups, designed to generate a rich and expressive tone. With flat-staggered poles, the Yosemite pickups are versatile and deliver impressive output. The bridge pickup, on the other hand, is a new type of patented Fender humbucker called the DoubleTap Humbucking: a special internal circuitry allows it to function as a single coil in "split" mode without any loss of volume.

Noteworthy is the inclusion of a Greasebucket™ tone circuit on the bridge pickup, which enables the cutting of high frequencies without adding low frequencies as the tone controls are rolled off. This technical feature helps avoid the tonal alteration typically associated with traditional circuits.

Finally, other modern technical features include the "Modern C" neck profile, a 22-jumbo fret fingerboard, and a push-pull control that allows you to split the bridge humbucker for authentic single-coil tones.
