This Fender Custom 1962 Stratocaster Heavy Relic in Aged Black finish, made through the Custom Order program of the Fender Custom Shop, is a tribute to the guitar for long used by the famous guitarist John Mayer.
The result is truly amazing. The instrument is beautiful, as well as obviously playing divinely.
The specs are the much-loved marriage of vintage vibe and contemporary features. It features a traditional Alder body, maple neck with a fast Mid 60's Oval "C" profile, an hand selected rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges for maximum comfort and 9.5 "radius.
The electronics consist of a set of Fender Custom Handwound 62/63 Stratocaster Single Coil with modern wiring.
