Fender Custom 1963 Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic Limited - F3CS

This stunning Stratocaster has been produced in a limited edition for the NAMM SHOW 2019. One cannot help but be captivated by this exceptional aging work: the Super Heavy Relic treatment is typically available only from select Masterbuilders at the Fender Custom Shop, but with these limited edition guitars, it is made accessible to a few lucky players at a more affordable price compared to Masterbuilt instruments.

On a technical level, it is essentially the pinnacle of what one could desire. The two-piece ash body is carefully chosen for its weight to create a lightweight and resonant instrument. In line with this technical approach, the finish is a "Thin Skin Lacquer" nitrocellulose, which is extremely thin.

The AAA-selected rosewood fingerboard is beautiful, dark, dense, and contrasts magnificently in color with the medium-tinted maple neck. The neck features a substantial yet comfortable 60's Oval "C" profile, while the frets, with a 9.5" radius, are soft Sanko 6105.

In terms of electronics, it is equipped with hand-wound 60/63 Stratocaster pickups (the middle pickup has reverse polarity), a 5-way selector, and a Stratocaster 1/2 Blender wiring, which allows for a "blend" activation of the neck pickup when in the Bridge and Middle+Bridge positions.
