It’s no secret master Builder John Cruz is a fan of high-octane rock ‘n’ roll, and he left no stone unturned when he designed the John Cruz Master Design Mod Rock Strat.

Combining his favorite features with some modern enhancements, this lightweight screaming machine is based on a super-lightweight alder body which Cruz chambered to make it even more resonant, and then roasted to crystallize the sap and give it a gorgeous patina.

Finished with bright silver/blue metallic paint, it has a tough polyurethane finish that will protect the guitar for years to come.

The AAA roasted flame maple neck has a fast-playing 12”-radius roasted AAA flame maple fingerboard, finished with satin polyurethane and crowned with 21 6100 frets that allow for wide bends without choking out.

The 1-ply Parchment pickguard is loaded with a hand-wound Blackguard Tele single-coil bridge pickup with a custom Parchment cover and a pair of Custom Shop LTD hand-wound John Cruz single-coil middle and neck pickups.

Strat “Blender” wiring lets you blend the bridge or neck pickup with the others, giving you access to Tele®-type sounds, as well as the powerful “everything on” sound of all three pickups working simultaneously. Other features include and RSD Stratocaster synchronized tremolo bridge, 4-bolt neck plate with exclusive “Master Design” engraving, vintage-style tuning machines with white buttons, vintage-style strap buttons, bone nut and wing string tree.
