The Fender Custom Shop Fat '60 Stratocaster pickups are equipped with Alnico 2 magnets, which provide a sound rich in low frequencies, with emphasized midrange and "rounded" high frequencies. The middle pickup in this set has an inverted polarity for even more effective hum cancellation.
