Description:
For 2019, Fender have introduced the Rarities Collection; limited editions of their classics that stand out from the crowd. New woods, new design appointments, modern features – but still unmistakably Fender. The Fender Rarities Telecaster Red Mahigany Top combines old with new and the result is a luxurious instrument that you’ll struggle to put down.
Ash is used for the body, the same as the original Telecasters back in the ‘50s. This provides a balanced, resonant sound with a scooped midrange. The new bit, however, is the eye-catching red Mahogany top. This adds extra warm hand sustain to the tight Ash sound. Maple is used for both the neck and the fretboard, adding the perfect amount of top-end to your tonal palette.
Old meets new; a vintage-style Tele single coil in the bridge and a Custom Shop Twisted Tele single coil in the neck. The former provides the perfect amount of twang, complemented nicely by the Ash, Mahogany and Maple wood combo. The latter is wired with extra heat, figuratively speaking; it’s designed to be thrashed at high volume, perfect for scorching blues and rock lead playing. Luxurious gold hardware and pearloid button tuners complete the luxurious, modern looks of the guitar.
