The Silver Jubilee series was created in 1987 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Marshall Amplification and Jim Marshall's 50 years of work.
The original Jubilee featured a stunning Silver covering and a chrome front panel. Based on the JCM800 2203 and 2204, the Jubilees were the first heads produced with a Pentode/Triode switch control, which adjusts the output of the power tubes.
Another unique feature of the Silver Jubilee was the Preamp circuit with 3 different modes: Clean, Rhythm Clip, and Lead.
This head was an immediate success and has become a true collector's item, as it became a "must-have" in the setups of numerous international artists.
Today, the historic Jubilee is available again in a limited edition, with the model 2555X.
The modern version is identical to the original, except for some innovations that enhance it, such as a quieter circuit, external Bias control, and a full range of outputs at different impedances.
