The Marshall DSL series is one of the best-selling lines in the brand's history, thanks to its quality and affordable price. For 2018, the English company has decided to revamp this series by adding some truly interesting technical features.
Firstly, there is an adjustable power feature, allowing for dynamic sound quality at all volumes. This is achieved by regulating the actual amount of current flowing through the tubes, rather than simply disabling some of the tubes.
Another intriguing technical detail is the Emulated Output. In collaboration with Softube, Marshall has designed headphone and Line Out outputs for the DSL series that provide an exceptionally realistic sound.
Finally, there are independent Master Volume controls for each channel, built-in reverb, and Resonance control (excluding the DSL1/DSL5 models).
