Seymour Duncan SH-18n Whole Lotta

In his youth, Seymour Duncan lived in London and followed the young bands of the time, creating pickups for them. This would not be particularly noteworthy, except that Seymour Duncan made the pickups for one of the guitarists who has had the most significant influence on the global guitar landscape: Jimmy Page.

These SH-18 Whole Lotta pickups replicate the original pickups made by Seymour for Jimmy: Alnico 5 magnets and plain enamel winding. What makes these pickups unique is the way they push the amplifier, creating a natural compression and adding sustain.

The recommended combinations are, of course, two Whole Lotta Humbuckers, or a Whole Lotta at the bridge with a Pearly Gates at the neck. The pickup is equipped with a 4-conductor wire. This version is designed for use at the neck position.
