The origins of the FG series date back to the introduction of the FG180 model in 1966, which was Yamaha's first production acoustic guitar. Since then, for over half a century, Yamaha has harmonized traditional craftsmanship with the spirit of constant refinement, pursuing our vision of the ideal Yamaha acoustic guitar.
The custom-treated Sitka spruce top, paired with mahogany back and sides, projects the tone and sustain of a naturally aged instrument.
A new scalloped bracing pattern provides greater projection and a more balanced tone.
Finally, the new Yamaha Atmosfeel three-way system offers a natural amplified sound.
