The KH20 pickup system used by Kirk Hammett consists of an EMG-81 and a pair of single-coil S pickups. These pickups are made with ceramic magnets for a defined, full-bodied, and versatile sound.

This set includes a tone control and a master volume wired to an 11-hole pearl pickguard with black potentiometers.
