Description:
The Epiphone Jeff Beck "Oxblood" 1954 Les Paul is a reissue inspired by one of the most iconic instruments in Jeff Beck's career, his modified 1954 Les Paul, known as "Oxblood" due to its distinctive chocolate-brown finish with burgundy undertones.
The original instrument, which gained fame from the cover of the album "Blow by Blow," is now considered one of the most recognizable and important electric guitars in the history of rock.
This version, crafted by Epiphone in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, faithfully reproduces many of the features of the original instrument: a mahogany body with a maple top, a one-piece mahogany neck with a "Long Tenon" joint, and a Jeff Beck Custom "Large C" profile, along with a rosewood fingerboard featuring 22 Medium Jumbo frets.
The electronics include two American-made Gibson Custombucker humbucking pickups, controlled by CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, wired according to a 1950s schematic. The bridge is a Gibson Historic Wraparound, and the tuners are Schaller M6 90. The nut is made of Graph Tech.
Complete with a hard Epiphone case and a vintage-style strap, the Epiphone Jeff Beck Oxblood 1954 Les Paul is offered as a limited edition.
