The EVH 5150III 15W LBX-S Head offers a sound and feature set that lies between the LBX and the LBXII. The channels include the Green "Clean" and the Red "Full Burn," which range from pure clean tones to modern high-gain overdrive.

In terms of components, it features 4x ECC83S (12AX7) in the preamp section and 2x EL84 power tubes. The controls include Gain (concentric, dual control), 2x Volume, a shared EQ section for both channels, as well as Resonance and Presence.
