The bridge pickup is a new type of patented Fender humbucker called DoubleTap Humbucking: a special internal circuitry allows it to function as a single coil in "split" mode without any loss of volume.

Noteworthy is the presence of a Greasebucket™ tone circuitry on the bridge pickup, which enables the cutting of high frequencies without adding low frequencies as the tone controls are progressively rolled off. This technical feature helps to avoid the sound alterations typically associated with traditional circuitry.

Finally, other modern technical features include a "Modern C" neck profile, a 22-jumbo fret fingerboard, and a push-pull control that allows you to split the bridge humbucker, achieving authentic single-coil tones.
