The Stratocaster model, which enjoyed great success in the second half of the 1950s, underwent a significant revolution in the early 1960s, featuring the addition of a rosewood fingerboard, a slimmer neck profile, and a set of pickups with a brighter tone.
The Fender American Vintage II 1965 Stratocaster reintroduces the original instrument produced in the mid-1960s and is characterized by an alder body, a maple neck with a fast 1965 "C" profile, a rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25" radius, a Vintage Synchronized Tremolo bridge with an inertia block, and Pure Vintage '65 Gray-Bottom Single-Coil Strat® pickups.
This instrument conveys an authentic feel as soon as you take it up, and when plugged in, it excites with its vintage tone.
The American Vintage II Series features a selection of the most iconic instruments in Fender's history, reproduced with exceptional accuracy in terms of technical, aesthetic, and sound aspects. Compared to the American Original Series, this new and updated series offers instruments that are even more historically accurate, representing the closest to Fender Custom Shop production ever offered in the Fender USA catalog.
