Fender American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster - SHG

The Jazzmaster was originally marketed as the guitar that contained “all the famous Fender innovations.” Designed to provide a high-level playing experience and to entice jazz guitarists to transition to a solid body electric guitar, this futuristic offset design is as far removed from an archtop as one can imagine. As might have been expected, the guitar did not win the hearts of jazz musicians, but it was quickly embraced by Surf Rock musicians in the 1960s and later by Indie Rock, Alternative, and even Country guitarists.

The Fender American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster faithfully reproduces this legendary model in its authentic 1966 form.

At the heart of this instrument lies a pair of Pure Vintage ‘66 Jazzmaster pickups, known for their warm and rich sound, wired to create the unmistakable Rhythm and Lead circuits, producing classic tones and all the sensations of a true Fender.

The neck features a comfortable 1966 "C" profile, paired with a 7.25" radius fingerboard and Vintage Tall frets.
