Fender Custom Josefina Handwound Dual Mag II Stratocaster Pickups

Hand-wound at the Fender® Custom Shop by Josefina Campos, Master Pickup Winder, the Dual-Mag II Strat® pickups offer a perfectly balanced sound, featuring bright, defined highs and rich, controlled lows, thanks to the combination of Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets. They utilize unshaped Alnico 5 magnets for the low E to G strings, while the B and high E strings are equipped with hand-shaped Alnico 2 magnets. Each pickup is also shielded with copper tape to reduce unwanted noise.

The set features a unique pole configuration, with the G string magnet lowered to facilitate a smoother transition between wound and plain strings. The Alnico 5 under the G string contributes to its extraordinary "singing" quality, while the Alnico 2 magnets for the B and high E strings are slightly taller than vintage specifications for improved overall balance. True to their name, the Dual-Mag II Strat® pickups utilize two types of magnets to deliver a clear, articulate, and incredibly harmonious sound.
