The legendary 1951 Telecaster was the progenitor of all solidbody electric guitars to follow — and today’s Custom Shop Limited Edition 1951 Telecaster Relic celebrates that 6-string icon with a fastidious reincarnation, complete with a 2-piece select ash body, an aged translucent blonde nitro Relic finish, and hand-wound single-coil Custom Shop ’50/’51 Blackguard pickups that deliver a versatile range of classic Tele twang and bite.

Modified ’51 “Nocaster” wiring, while similar to the original, includes a blender pot and a brighter rhythm setting for the neck position. Handcrafted in the USA by Fender’s elite Custom Shop luthiers, the Limited Edition 1951 Telecaster Relic features a quartersawn AA flame maple neck with a satisfying 10/56 “V” neck carve and a high-performance 7.25–9.5-inch vintage-modern compound-radius fingerboard.
