The Fender Custom Limited Edition 1969 Stratocaster Heavy Relic was offered as a limited edition during the 2023 Fender Custom Shop Showcase Dealer event.
The body, crafted from select lightweight alder, is paired with a quartersawn maple neck featuring a 1969 "U" profile.
The fingerboard, equipped with 21 Narrow Tall / 6105 frets and a 9.5" radius, provides this instrument with comfortable playability.
The electronics consist of a Fender Custom Stratocaster Hand-Wound '69 Single Coil at the neck, a Fender Custom Stratocaster Fat '50 Single Coil in the middle position, and a Fender Custom Stratocaster Texas Special Single Coil at the bridge. This configuration ensures extraordinary tonal versatility, allowing a range from crystal-clear vintage sounds to warmer, more aggressive timbres, encapsulating all the tonal nuances that have made the Stratocaster a global icon.
