The Fender Custom Shop Limited-edition Roasted "Big Head" Stratocaster Relic celebrates guitars made in the mid-'60s — the ones with the large headstock and gold logo. This solidbody electric guitar really goes for broke, brandishing a 2-piece select roasted alder body with a scene-stealing Relic nitrocellulose lacquer finish and an 11-hole gold anodized aluminum pickguard. Its rock-solid quarter-sawn maple neck boasts a supremely comfortable '63-style "C" back shape and a lightning-fast 9.5-inch-radius round-lam rosewood fingerboard.
This Limited Edition Strat churns out classic tones that range from bell-like and jangly to blues-like and biting, thanks to a trio of hand-wound Fat '60s single-coils with an RWRP middle pickup, POMO Strat Fat '50s wiring, a Greasebucket II Tone circuit, and modern 5-way switching. You also get a vintage-style Synchronized Tremolo and tuning machines, a bone nut, and a wing-style string tree with a nylon spacer. If you're a fan of post-'65 Strats, the Roasted "Big Head" Stratocaster Relic will definitely get your blood pumping.
