The PLEX is literally the twin sister of Dave's amplifier, that special 1968 JMP. With the best modern construction techniques, Dave has meticulously reproduced the characteristics of the original head, creating what he has called his favorite head.
The Friedman PLEX comes with built-in "jumpering," which is the technique of externally mixing channels used with vintage-style amplifiers. This way, the Lead and Normal channels can be blended perfectly using the dedicated control, providing a simple and intuitive modeling method that pays homage to the history of the original JMP.
