Description:
The Fulltone OCD Germanium is the only pedal that uses 2 Mosfets configured as hard-clipping with a "voltage reference" instead of the usual "ground" method.
The early OCD models used 2 Mosfets along with 1 germanium diode, but these diodes quickly became harder to find.
Recently, Fulltone came across a reasonably large stock of the right type of germanium diodes, so they decided to create the ultimate OCD: a Custom Shop offering with some modifications to the circuits using 2 Mosfets plus 2 germanium diodes.
It features reactivity akin to a tube amplifier, a slightly wider dynamic range, increased sustain, and a more articulated and defined sound.
