Gibson Bluesmaster

The Gibson Bluesmaster is a model we developed in collaboration with the Custom Shop department of Gibson Acoustic to recreate, as a "Special Order," a design that embodies the technical and tonal characteristics of the original 12-Fret guitars from the 1920s and 1930s.

The result is a meticulously crafted instrument, characterized by remarkable dynamic range and excellent projection, made from top-quality materials.

The back and sides are constructed from solid mahogany, while the top is made from Adirondack spruce with traditional "X" bracing. The quarter-sawn mahogany neck features a special profile: a "V" shape with a "French" heel that allows easy access to the upper frets. The neck-body joint is completed at the twelfth fret, providing the instrument with unparalleled comfort on one hand and a warm, vibrant tone on the other. The fingerboard, as well as the bridge, is made from ebony.

The Vintage Sunburst finish is applied, like all Gibson acoustics, with authentic nitrocellulose lacquer, which allows the wood to resonate like no other finish can. Finally, the guitar is equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element active electronics system with a volume control located inside the soundhole: the sound produced is natural and does not alter in any way the warm and defined tone of the Bluesmaster.
