Description:
1962 was an interesting year for the legendary Gibson ES-335, it was what some might refer to as a "transition year" in regards to the overall appointments on the iconic guitar. The early 60’s neck profile had been slimmed down from the chunky round profile of the 1950's, and as a result, player's immediately appreciated the comfortable feel and fast action on the new Slim Taper neck.
The “Mouse Ear” body shape of the 1950’s was still present, but the “Small Block” inlay rosewood fingerboard would be the most notable indication that Gibson elegance was finding a new home on the revolutionary ES-335.
