The 12-string electric guitar has been a staple of popular music since the mid-1960s, when its unmistakable "jingle" was embraced by bands like The Beatles and The Byrds.

The iconic Gibson EDS-1275 has shone in numerous classic recordings and on stages around the world, but for those who prefer to play a 12-string electric guitar without the addition of a six-string, Gibson Custom is proud to present the 1965 Non-Reverse Firebird V 12-String Reissue.

This reproduction of the highly sought-after 1965 model stays true to the guitar that inspired it, with a key enhancement: a neck width of 1 11/16" instead of the narrower neck found on the original. It features the classic color palette of the 1959 Oldsmobile, which inspired some of Gibson's historic custom color tones, culminating in the stunning Aqua Mist VOS finish.

Equipped with a pair of Firebird pickups featuring Alnico 5 magnets, it delivers all the bright "jingle" you need in a well-balanced 12-string electric guitar, maintaining a vintage inspiration while providing enhanced playability.
