Description:
The legend of the J-45 model began back in 1942 and now comes to life again, thanks to the luthiers at the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop, in the Gibson Custom Historic 1942 Banner J-45.
This instrument represents the most accurate replica ever made of the original 1942 J-45. It is crafted meticulously, reproducing even the smallest details and employing the most advanced construction techniques.
Specifically, we want to highlight the presence of a "Thermally Aged" solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, a short scale length of 24.75", and a nut width of 1.725".
The sound produced is defined, dry, extremely precise, and articulated in fast passages.
This is a guitar for connoisseurs.
In particular, this version is characterized by a Murphy Lab Heavy Aged treatment. The Murphy Lab perfectly recreates, through natural processes rather than manual ones, the same aging conditions of the finish found on original vintage instruments. It truly feels like holding a vintage original instrument, but with all the quality and performance that only the Gibson Custom Shop can offer today.
