The Gibson Custom Historic 1963 Country Western Murphy Lab Heavy Aged is a historically accurate reproduction of the Country Western model launched in 1962. The top, crafted from "Thermally Aged" Sitka spruce, combined with solid mahogany back and sides, creates a warm and rich sound, further enhanced by the scalloped X-bracing, which gives the tone an authentically vintage character.

The mahogany neck, glued using animal glues, features a "Round" profile, providing a vintage feel with great stability and comfort during play.

The Indian rosewood fingerboard, equipped with a 24.75" scale length, features 20 standard frets, a 12" radius, and pearl inlays, ensuring smooth and precise playability, ideal for modern techniques without sacrificing the character and aesthetics of the era.

Among the distinctive details, we find the "Traditional Belly-Up" bridge made of rosewood and a set of Gotoh tuning machines that complete the classic aesthetic of this authentic vintage gem.
