This revolutionary aging process, conceived by Tom Murphy, utilizes nitrocellulose finishes that, through special treatments, realistically display the signs of wear typically found on instruments over fifty years old.

This Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1959 ES-355 Reissue Varitone with Maestro Ultra Light Aged in Cherry finish has been crafted as a special order through the Made 2 Measure program.

An instrument that captivates with its timeless beauty, it is a replica of the ES-355 produced in 1959, the most aesthetically and structurally rich version of the ES-335.

It features distinctive multi-layer binding on the body, a Split Diamond inlay on the headstock, Block inlays on the fingerboard, and stunning gold hardware.

What makes this instrument even more unique is the Maestro Vibrola and the Varitone circuitry, which adds a multitude of tonal combinations to the already wonderful Custombucker (Unpotted) pickups.
