Since its introduction in 2021, the Murphy Lab treatment became a coveted feature among musicians and collectors. A revolutionary aging process conceived by Tom Murphy which utilizes nitrocellulose finishes that, through special treatments, can be realistically aged, just like an original vintage instrument.

This Gibson Custom Murphy Lab 1959 ES-355 Reissue w/Bigsby Ultra Light Aged in Alpine White finish is as a Gibson Custom Shop special order, realized through the Made 2 Measure program.

An instrument that captivates with its timeless beauty. A replica of the ES-355 produced in 1959, which is the most aesthetically and structurally refined ES-335.

It features distinctive multi-ply binding on the body, a Split Diamond inlay on the headstock, Block inlays on the fingerboard, and a gleaming gold hardware.

Adding to the instrument's uniqueness are a Bigsby B5 Vibrato and a Varitone circuit, which provides an array of tonal combinations to the already wonderful Custombucker pickups (unpotted). The tone is warm, with a soft yet always defined attack, thanks in part to the ebony fingerboard.
