Description:
Elvis Presley was primarily known for three things: his jet-black hair, his stage presence, and the fact that he was a user of several SJ-200 models. Gibson pays tribute to the artist by introducing the new SJ-200, the queen of flat-tops.
The guitar in question is based on the famous SJ-200 that was gifted to the "King of Rock 'n' Roll" during a recording session in Nashville in the mid-1960s.
The materials used in its construction include maple for the back, sides, and neck, Sitka spruce for the top, and Indian rosewood for the fingerboard. Additionally, it features the beautiful Moustache bridge with mother-of-pearl inlays.
The electronics comprise a formidable L.R. Baggs VTC, with volume and tone controls located inside the soundhole, capable of faithfully reproducing the instrument's tonal characteristics.
The sound produced is magnificent, powerful in the lows, with sensational projection and exceptional definition. This is a perfect instrument for strumming, ideal for accompaniment.
