Description:
The Gibson J-185 is considered by many to be one of the most successful models from Gibson. Introduced in the early 1950s as the smaller sister of the renowned SJ-200, it has become a best seller due to the tonal characteristics typical of Super Jumbo models, but in a more manageable size.
The sound is well-balanced, with an emphasis on the high frequencies, a feature that makes it, along with its crystalline tone, a perfect guitar for strumming and accompaniment.
In particular, this specimen was ordered as a Made 2 Measure from Gibson Acoustic's Custom Shop and is characterized by gold hardware and an elegant black finish.
