Inspired by the Marauder of the '70s and referencing the essential design of the Music City Junior, the Les Paul Music City Special – 50th Anniversary is a commemorative limited edition of 650 units for each finish. Just like the Marauder, it stands out for its unusual combination of woods by Gibson standards: the solid poplar body and maple neck represent a deliberate choice to explore new sonic possibilities, providing modern, versatile tonalities without sacrificing the character that has made the brand legendary.
The striped ebony fingerboard, with a 12" radius, features 22 Medium Jumbo frets for a natural and smooth feel.
The electronics consist of a pair of Gibson 70s Tribute™ humbucker pickups, designed to deliver a wide and versatile tonal range that seamlessly adapts to any musical style.
The package is completed with chrome hardware, featuring a Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners, and a metal jack plate.
