The new Gibson Les Paul Standard is a return to its roots. The Les Paul Standard model returns to being the traditional Les Paul, incorporating all the technical details of the Golden Era.
In particular, this version is inspired by the Les Paul guitars of the 1960s.
It features the customary materials combination for the body, namely mahogany without weight relief and maple. The neck has a 60's Slim Taper profile, characterized by its slim dimensions and exceptional playability.
The fingerboard, made of rosewood, is adorned with "Trapezoid" inlays, while the bridge is a classic ABR-1 Tune-o-matic.
The sound produced by a pair of BurstBucker 61R and BurstBucker 61T pickups possesses all the characteristics of the vintage Gibson sound from the early 1960s: defined and warm at the same time, rich in attack, and with infinite sustain.
The electronics consist of four logarithmic potentiometers, Orange Drop capacitors, all hand-wired.
