Description:
The legendary former president of Gibson, Theodore “Ted” McCarty, was instrumental in developing some of the most iconic electric guitars of all time during the 1950s and early 1960s, including the Les Paul™, ES-335, Flying V™, Explorer™, SG™, and Firebird™ models.
The Gibson Theodore Standard has been crafted from original designs discovered in the Gibson archives, created by Theodore McCarty himself in 1957.
Some of its features include a mahogany body with a double cutaway "Florentine," a "scimitar" headstock, and a mahogany neck with a SlimTaper™ profile. Its unique body shape allows for quick access to all 22 frets.
In terms of electronics, it is equipped with the powerful Gibson '57 Classic™ and Gibson '57 Classic Plus humbucker™ pickups, enabling a rich variety of sounds.
The Gibson Theodore Standard presents itself as a balanced and exceptionally comfortable instrument.
