The Gretsch G5420T Electromatic Classic Hollow Body with Bigsby features a laminated maple body with vintage lines, and a new bracing system that closely resembles the original Gretsch models made in Japan. This design generates a vintage tone while minimizing unwanted feedback.

Additionally, the new bracing design provides the instrument with a more pronounced attack and greater definition, making it even more suitable for overdriven sounds.
