It showcases a traditional Linden body with a spruce top and no center block, a three-layer Nyatoh and maple neck, and a smooth ebony fingerboard. The presence of the spruce top gives the instrument a more jazz-oriented quality, providing a warmer and more acoustic tone compared to the version with a maple top.

The sound is generated by the highly regarded Super 58 Humbuckers, pickups used in Ibanez's high-end hollow-body models.
