The body of the American Rhoads RR24 is made from alder and is paired with a three-piece maple neck featuring a "Neck Through" construction, which enhances sustain. The neck is reinforced with a pair of graphite rods for absolute stability, capable of resisting warping and bending caused by temperature and humidity.

With 24 jumbo frets and "Shark Fin" mother-of-pearl inlays, the compound radius ebony fretboard (12”-16”) is designed to facilitate technically demanding performances and high-speed playing. The Luminlay® position markers on the side of the neck that "glow in the dark" provide secure guidance along the fretboard even on poorly lit stages, while an adjustment wheel for the truss rod mounted on the heel allows for quick and accurate corrections.

The HH pickup configuration comprises a set of versatile Seymour Duncan® pickups that offer a wide range of tones. The Seymour Duncan JB™ TB-4 bridge pickup roars with scorching hot tones and seismic low-end response, while the neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan® '59™ SH-1N, known for its warm and precise timbre.
