Korg Pitchblack X

The Korg pedal tuner, a next-generation device with a compact design, features the new Ultra Buffer circuit that prevents tonal degradation of the signal. Most electric guitars use passive pickups with high-impedance output. When using cables longer than 6 meters, tonal degradation typically occurs, particularly in the higher frequencies, and this phenomenon tends to worsen with longer cables. The Buffer amplifies the signal over long cables to avoid this tonal alteration, ensuring a clear and clean sound even when the pedal is turned off.

The Ultra Buffer enhances sound quality in bypass mode, maintaining audio integrity even when using long cables to connect the tuner or when installed in a complex effects pedalboard. It weighs 248 grams and boasts a durable powder-coated finish along with a robust and long-lasting cabinet.

The Pitchblack X allows for quick and precise tuning with a tolerance of just 0.1 cents when in Strobe mode; this makes it the ideal tool for professional live or recording situations where intonation is a critical parameter, and approximations or inaccuracies are not permitted.

On the Meter Display, users can choose from four types of visual displays during the tuning phase based on personal preference: Regular, Strobe, Half Strobe, which indicate pitch variations through the direction and fluctuations of the Meter, allowing for the distinction of even the smallest pitch differences. The Mirror mode displays two LEDs on the left and right that converge toward the center.

The Pitchblack X also features a new "Just-Right Tuning" visual function, which causes the triangular LEDs on both sides to flash when the tuning is correct, providing a convenient and real-time aid to every musician.
