The Martin Custom Shop GP14FC Sinker Mahogany is an instrument made as a Custom Order at the Martin Custom Shop. It is an instrument that featurs Sinker Mahogany back and sides, a particular and precious species of mahogany characterized by deep and aesthetically captivating figures.
The top is made of Adirondack Spruce and has 5/16" Adirondack Spruce bracing.
We are therefore talking about an instrument that, in its category, was configured with the best materials available. The shape is a GPC, Grand Performing Cutaway, a shape which, compared to the Drednought, emphasizes the low frequencies without losing in terms of overall balance.
The electronics is a L.R. Baggs Anthem with piezo sensor under saddle and microphone inside the sound hole: this electronics is capable of faithfully reproduce the tonal nuances of the instrument even when playing "plugged-in".
