Description:
The Martin OM-45 represents one of the highest peaks in Martin's acoustic production, a dream for guitarists in search of an instrument of absolute quality.
Renowned for its rich, complex, and well-balanced sound, the OM-45 combines deep bass, bright treble, and extraordinary harmonic clarity. It stands out with an extremely refined appearance, embellished with countless abalone inlays.
From a technical standpoint, the OM-45 boasts a 25.4” scale length, a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, and a scalloped bracing pattern—elements that contribute to its exceptional sound projection.
The Martin OM-45 is the ideal choice for those seeking the “non plus ultra”: with sound quality and aesthetic beauty that make it a masterpiece of luthery, the Martin OM-45 is designed for those who desire the very best, both in terms of sound quality and aesthetics.
Specifically, this guitar belongs to the Standard Series 2025, which has further refined the already exceptional Standard Series Reimagined models to deliver even higher performance, both in sound and comfort.
The major innovation is the adoption of the Golden Era bracing, previously reserved exclusively for Custom Shop productions, as well as the Modern Deluxe and Authentic series. This technical choice gives the instruments an even fuller and richer sound while maintaining the definition typical of Martin guitars.
Another improvement involves the neck, which now features the Golden Era Modified “Low Oval” profile, thinner at the first frets for a more comfortable grip, yet progressively thicker as you move up the fingerboard, thus enhancing overall ergonomics. The fingerboard is slightly thinner, echoing the design of the historic Martin Pre-War models, and features rounded edges for greater comfort in handling.
The bridge has also been redesigned and now adopts the Golden Era Modern Belly design, also reminiscent of the bridges found on Pre-War Martin models.
Overall, the Martin Standard Series 2025 gets even closer to the traditional construction standards of the brand, offering instruments with an authentic character and improved playability.
