Designed in collaboration with pedal maker Analog Man, the MXR Duke of Tone Overdrive is the perfect pedal for guitarists seeking a warm and gritty sound, while still preserving the qualities of the rest of their equipment.

Based on Analog Man's Prince of Tone, the single-channel version of the King of Tone Overdrive, this pedal delivers true vintage tones.

Analog Mike personally assembled all the various components of the King of Tone Overdrive, creating a pedal with a warm, clear, and open sound that brings out all the tonal nuances of the chain, from the guitar strings to the amplifier tubes.

The Duke of Tone Overdrive inherits the same simple yet effective controls. The Volume, Drive, and Tone knobs allow for all the typical adjustments of an overdrive, while the Boost/Distortion switch enables you to set the character of the pedal's output.

The Boost mode provides a robust yet clean push, the OD mode adds more saturation and compression, while the Distortion mode delivers a more driven sound.

In all modes, the Duke of Tone will enhance the sound of your setup. The Duke of Tone encourages creativity: it pairs well with other overdrives or distortions, and when used at 18V, it will provide greater headroom and clarity, especially in Boost mode.
