Description:
Ten years after the release of the Rockerverb series, Orange has decided to refresh this highly successful amplifier line, retaining its overall sonic characteristics while adding intriguing features that enhance its versatility in terms of scope and style.
The main innovation in the new MKIII version, compared to the MKII, which had a power output of 50W—suitable for medium to large venues—is that the MKIII also delivers 50W but can be attenuated to 25W, making it perfect for studio and home use. The attenuator can be controlled via a footswitch.
Additionally, the Orange Rockerverb 50 MKIII features a redesigned Clean channel that is more dynamic and a spring reverb borrowed from the acclaimed Thunderverb series.
That said, the Rockerverb 50 MKIII head offers two independent channels with the classic Orange tones. The Clean channel is exceptionally rich and operates like a non-master channel, responding like a vintage Orange amplifier, allowing for a dynamic transition from traditional clean sounds to a perfect crunch for rock and blues. The Dirty channel, on the other hand, generates full gain tones: it is versatile, suitable for metal, fusion, blues, and even country music.
