The PRS CE was originally introduced in 1988 and joins the SE Series for the first time in 2024.
The Paul Reed Smith SE CE 24 offers a combination of features from a SE Custom 24 with the uniqueness of a "bolt-on" construction and a maple neck. It is important to emphasize that the CE 24 is not a "cheaper" version, but a deliberately different instrument: the bolt-on maple neck provides a more pronounced attack in its tone.
The pickups are a pair of 85/15 "S" that deliver a wide range of sounds, enhanced by the ability to split them via push/pull controls on the tone knob.
