Description:
The Takamine P5DC is a cutaway dreadnought that combines traditional Takamine Japanese craftsmanship with modern enhancements. The top is made of solid spruce, featuring scalloped "X" bracing, while the back and sides are crafted from solid rosewood. The tone produced is warm, with fantastic projection.
In terms of electronics, the Takamine CoolTube (CTP-3) is equipped with the CTP-3 Cool Tube™ preamp, along with a Palathetic™ sensor positioned under the bridge for exceptional performance. The low-voltage tube electronics include two separate channels, a 3-band equalizer, 2 anti-feedback filters, a mix control for managing an optional second pickup, volume control, and a tuner.
