Specifically, the 214ce Deluxe features Koa back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, a fully gloss-finished body, white binding, "Small Diamond" inlays, a cutaway design, and the Taylor Expression System 2 electronics.

The Taylor Expression System 2 represents the latest evolutionary step in Taylor electronics. The new sensor is not positioned like traditional piezo pickups beneath the bridge; instead, it is located behind it. This placement reduces the load on the sensor, allowing for unprecedented sound dynamics. Additionally, this positioning enables the convenient adjustment of the balance between treble and bass using an easy hex wrench.

Finally, a Taylor hard case is included at no extra charge.
