Description:
The Taylor 224ce-K is an electro-acoustic guitar belonging to the 200 Series. It features a Grand Auditorium body shape, which produces a more balanced sound across various frequencies. The materials used include layered koa for the back and sides, stunning solid koa for the top, and ebony for the fingerboard and bridge.
The body has a cutaway design, allowing easy access to the higher frets.
The tone is bright, but with pronounced mid-range frequencies. The result is a very defined instrument, bright with a clear timbre.
The electronics feature the Taylor Expression System 2, representing the latest evolutionary step in Taylor's electronics. The new sensor is not positioned like traditional piezo systems, which are placed under the bridge, but is located behind it. This design reduces the load on the sensor, allowing for unprecedented dynamic range in the sound. Additionally, this positioning has made it possible to include an adjustment feature, using a convenient Allen wrench, to balance the treble and bass frequencies.
