Taylor 254ce Plus

The Taylor 200 Series guitars have always been among the most beloved by guitarists of all levels. This latest version adds even more quality to a series already known for its fantastic value in terms of sound and playability.

The Taylor 254ce Plus features a laminated rosewood back and sides, a material that, when paired with a solid "Torrefied" Sitka spruce top—treated to have the sonic characteristics of a top that has already been played for years—can produce a warm, full, rich tone with plenty of low frequencies, while still maintaining clarity and resonance. Additionally, the 254ce Plus boasts a high-gloss finish, black binding, 4 mm Dot inlays, and comes with a Taylor Aerocase™.

Other technical specifications to note include an ebony fingerboard, an ebony bridge, and Taylor's ES2 electronics.

The Taylor Expression System 2 represents the latest evolutionary step in Taylor electronics. The new sensor is not positioned like traditional piezo pickups under the bridge but is instead located behind it. This reduces the load on the bridge, allowing for unprecedented sound dynamics. Furthermore, this positioning allows for the addition of an easy-to-use Allen wrench adjustment for balancing the treble and bass.
